Well my charging issues are over. Head Unit can maintain a charge while music is playing and only looses 5% or so with maps and music on for an hour. When it does get somewhat low I can just turn it off for a day or so and it charges back up
That made my head unit get really hot. So wired in an extra 12v socket from the battery relayed with the ignition with a 3.1 amp usb charger. Keeps it charged unless im really flogging it
