whys that ? I start the new role on Monday


What new role?

I started a new job on Monday and they have a pretty sweet setup and datacenter there.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Whats the position going ? I have a mate who looks after all the DC's for iiNet and we've (me, his mrs and other mates) been trying to get him away from them for ages :D

Wait - how are you starting a NEW role in a NOC? Weren't you always in NOC?

I'll check tomorrow and see what (if any) roles are available. They've taken on a few large clients quite quickly so they're after new people across all teams at the moment.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I've been service desk at empired for ~18 months after I left ii/wn NOC. more $ in a SD role, good job iinet

 

But empired is starting a NOC, not just a combined SD/Sorta NOC role. I start on Monday

We have a combined NOC/'triage' operations team.

If there was something going at my work and it was better pay - would you be interested? Otherwise I won't bother asking them if anything is available.

can they beat $73k for someone without bits of paper saying they can do the job ? :D

 

@iinet it was a linux world (im really out of practice now days, I just don't use it) and here is MS but they're wanting to train people (so maybe I would get paper eventually)


Oh and this will be "Triage" / IM role at first while we bitch slap other teams into submission :D
