Tried to install new coaxial speakers to the front doors of my 2001 liberty 3 gen 2.5 RX today and the stock connections to the speakers have little wiring harnesses on them. What do i do to wire them to my Alpine type s's????

Don't cut the plug off, leave it there, just patch into the 2 wires that you need to for a bridge to the terminals on your aftermarket speakers.
I'ts simple to do given you have the right tools.
Split the insulation off the wiring, patch in new wiring, solder, heat shrink/electrical tape to insulate, then terminate with 2 female spade terminals (which plug onto the male terminals of the speaker), or solder the wires directly onto the speaker terminals.

I also used the female spade terminals on mine.
And EDIT - don't insulate with tape.
