Rach said there's a shit load of choppers around again today!

Found some big arse chunks of ash in the yard yesterday. It's easy to see how spot fires start with the size of a couple of the cubts that floated into the yard!

That does look pretty nasty Adam - today is possibly going to be the worst day of fires we have had so far from what they are saying this morning.

Even the city is thick with smoke (again, the photos don't really do it justice)

There is a butload of smoke around my area too
 


I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

We left the bathroom window open last night. Was smokey in there this morning hahaha!

North westerlies, we are still on watch and act! But it's coming from the side with a lot of houses between us and the bush, so it would have to be pretty crazy wind for shit to happen!

Bit worrying for yerrinbool, who are pretty much surrounded on 3 sides according to the burn map thing!

I'm tempted to re join the RFS

You should Adam! I would do it for sure if I didn't have to travel 11,000km to get to the bush!

Those flying embers are nasty hey - I was talking to my cousins Dad on Sat night and he was telling a story of fires in Kempsey when he was at my Nan and Pops one year - he said that the embers that were exploding off some of the burning trees (their old house backed onto the Maria River State Forest) were flying up into the air and being carried by the wind about 200m to land in their front yard. Some were like tennis ball sized.

11,000km is like 5 mins in the b4!!!

Fucking crazy how quickly it spreads. Bargo RFS uploaded a video the other day, and it took about 10 seconds for the fire to cross the road, an engulf the bush the truck was facing!
