Last bucks I went to was for the Sony CPA guy.. went to Melb... about 1k spend there...

 

This bucks, the dude wants to go to Phuket or Bali... going to be close to 2k I'm guessing...

One dude is ditching it for "religious reasons"... and the other says it is too expensive, since he is saving to buy a house... both him and his wife are CPAs, he works for Sony and she works for CBA... and just bought a new 86GTS... so thinking they have more than enough money... but probably his wife isn't ok with him going...

Maybe, but you can't make that judgement based on buying an 86 - they are not exactly a rich persons car and if they are saving for a house, an overseas trip is a waste of cash.
If one of my mates told me that the bucks party was going to cost $2K to anyone attending I would tell them to have fun, but I sure as shit wouldn't be going.

These are still things they chose to spend money on though - $2K on a bucks night is excessive and not really giving them a choice, I would not go to that out of principal.

Exactly Radam, I would actually say that it is downright rude to expect that someone can just muster up $2k for something you want them to do... it would be a different case if everyone sat down first and said what they are willing to spend comfortably etc but if someone just comes out and says this is what I am doing and I expect everyone to do it or I will be pissed, I would probably lose my shit and tell them to get fucked.

Yeah I'm not too keen on it either now... since best friends aren't going for pretty legit reasons... and I don't know the other guys how are going, I'll just know the buck... so it wouldn't be very fun...

 

I was keen on Bali, because it isn't that bad, and my good friends would be coming too, but since he mentioned Phuket, one of the good friends doesn't want to go to that place, and I am not really keen on being surrounded by guys I don't know and going to places I don't really want to be in... because I know for sure they will drag everyone into places of ill repute...

Nope... just not a fan of those kinds of strip clubs... the guys going there, we are all on a whatapp chat thing, and the plans they have... damn... it would freak Morg out so much his hair would turn white...

 

I haven't been to Bali or Thailand... but from all the research I've done, Seminyak in Bali isn't as bad a Kuta, which is the hole of Bali.. and both are still better than Phuket...
