Holy crap. This photo was just taken in Illinois...there used to be houses there.
Hectic!
Where abouts in IL?
Katie's family live in Champaign and we spent a few days with them and also in Chicago.

Yep. It is a categorised amount of tornadoes, so it's hardly anything that hasn't been seen in the tornado belt before.
Feel bad for people that can't afford to not live there.
Yep, something that happens every single year. I guess it is hard because some places can go for 20 years without a direct hit from one and then BAM!
It was actually interesting watching the tornado chasers show, gave a bit of insight into tornadoes in the US.
Something that people don't realise is that in Australia gets about 17 of them each year to, most of ours are just not in populated areas so they are not seen/don't destroy as much stuff. Usually they are F1-F3 in strength.

Where are we eating in December, Nik
I'm pretty keen on The Rice Den or the Fourth Village. Because the others are real sit down course joints, whereas these two it doesn't matter if people are running late/leave early. Etc.
I'm kind of leaning towards Rice Den actually. Maybe I should just lock it in.

Good prices!
Though I imagine at those prices, the servings are super small. But I like ordering more as I get hungry.

Ooooh. One thing I kind of missed.
They are BYO. I will have to confirm they allow BYO beer....
Or I'm sure we can just find a pub around the way, before or after.

Don't know how many of us can drink that much if we are driving home that night, but a few beers wouldn't hurt...
