I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

They also brought up a good point about road reg.
They said with a lot of conviction that the guys in the little 'funbox' racers are usually having a lot more fun than anyone in the higher classes.
Classic racers are on now!

Yea do some fishing and just relax.
Sounds good man... I'm jelly...
The more I research this SubyClub project car, the more I get told to buy something already built, and something a lot more simple than a Subaru/turbo etc.
Leigh and another bloke reckon I should be playing it smarter and thinking about things like Charades/Civics etc.
Kind of not as sexy as I was thinking in my head, but it's kind of hard to ignore guys that have 20+ years each in varying forms of professional motorsport.
...
Thoughts?
I can see the reason why they'd say that... but a charade or a civic even kind of defeats the purpose of having a SubyClub project car... not being a suby and all..
We should buy a Porsche...
Spoiler on!

I agree with you Isaac, but at the same time, I do wonder if we're using it as intended for track days and charity rallies, if it would really put people off that much?
I'm still at the infancy stages of this idea, which is why I'm just asking everyone I know that has anything to do with motorsport. Going to see a bloke tonight that does the Targa Rally Tas & WA each year, along with a bunch of other stuff at Barbagallo during the year - M&D's mates - super loaded so will give me a bit more perspective from the other end.
Also, getting a number for a bloke that runs a Charade turbo in the WARC, who apparently is more than happy to chat.
Pretty lucky with some of the connections I have considering I've never done any real motorsport before, best is a couple of skid pans and a ride along!

Yeah, well I think a lot of the thinking is that "do you want a car, or do you want to drive it?"
Because of the events/maintenance costs. All well and good to say I've got X amount of money for a car, but then have nothing for licencing/travel/event entry fees, insurance, spares/tyres/fluids etc. etc.
etc.
etc.
I'm not going to go in half cocked. And I know I already sound like I've 'changed my mind' a lot in 24 hours, so I have to be wary of that as well.

Ha yes, you don't want to turn into me... but something like this car is a big deal, and yes, you have to think about more than just the here and now... don't want it to just die out one day as a waste...

Feasible? I am under no delusion at all that there is no money to be made here!
But if you mean just from the practical side? I have some pretty good ideas on how to make that work, but don't want to get ahead of myself.

Yep, There is a lot of fun to be had in small gutless cars that handle like crap, wresting them around the track and what not is half the fun!! cheap to fix when shit breaks.
I have to fully agree with them.

I think a lot of people, especially Subaru drivers, are very worried about blowing their personal car into oblivion.
