No, I'm saying, do the club car as a Variety Club Bash entrant, taking away that 'motorsport focus' - dropping the cage and what not. Track insurance for multiple users. Etc.

Just throwing ideas around. I am doing SOMETHING. I re read everything we spoke about and what I've written so far, and the overwhelming feeling that I got was that we really all just want to do something with a Subaru, for SubyClub, and just all be involved.

Just for reference, because you obviously didn't check the Variety Bash link - it starts in Sydney and ends in Perth.

Anyway. Everyone keep thinking, we can consume ourselves in conversation over it when I'm there in a couple'a.

Nik - i see a lot more merit in doing the variety bash rather than a track car.

its a lot easier to do a car for that than a track car, too many regulations to meet etc (although we do have the people with the knowledge and skills to make a track car a reality)

my other reason to say yes to variety bash is it would get the suby club out there to a broader audience and we would be contributing to a worthy cause as well. getting to build a car that brings the forum together and also help to raise money to charity is a win win in my books.

and within the first 2 weeks of starting, she went on maternity leave...

You have to be employed for at least 50 weeks (IIRC) to go off on maternity leave...

Unless she went without pay?

Also, that is what I was getting at the other day. I don't see a club track car getting used to its full potential. It would probably sit in someone's shed or in storage most of the time!

Yeah, I'm hearing you. Guy I spoke to last night runs a Lambo, and he said when he used to run an F-car with someone else, it was a nightmare and nearly cost the friendship - now I know it sounds silly to compare, but it's all relative - financially to them a Lambo or a F-car is less skin off their noses than an older model anything for us folk. Dude drives a $270K 4WD which is only for trips down south.... like .... ten times a year....

I hope I made a point in there somewhere.

Variety bash car would be mad. Would get behind that for sure!

Track car would be in parts 99% of the time anyway.

I would donate my forester xt wheels. Shot gun having a go at driving haha.

My level of annoyance is high... I can't say that I am angry as hell but I am annoyed, picking up my mate and his wife at the airport just a while ago in the B4, dude in a prius backed straight into it :(...

Barely any damage thankfully (It will not affect me being able to drive you around Nik)... it is border line whether I can be bothered lodging a claim for it or not.... It really is a minute amount of damage, it is more that it slightly creased a bit of the bar, scrapped off a bit of pain about the size of a 5c coin and there are some cracks in the paint where the bar pushed in a bit and has since popped back out.......

Might just say fuck it and leave it.

track car just seems like too much hassle to me. CAMS regulations, would sit in a garage most of the time, arguments over who gets to use it when, constantly parts blowing up, and god help us if someone were to crash it.

I'll throw in my old RX front seats haha.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
