How does every one lock there bikes at home?

I was thinking of buying them disk brake locks, bolting a metal bracket to the concrete floor and running a sheilded chain through the bike.

Mine are insured, but they stay inside a locked garage...but at the end of the day if they want to take the bike enough - they WILL take the bike.

The standard steering lock is pretty useless too.

My Triumph has an immobilizer, but won't stop them picking it up and loading it onto a truck/ute if they really want it.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Yeah dad had a mate who had a fair few bikes in his garage, fully locked, and massive locked gate. Bikes were padlocked to the floor.

They took em all.

Mine is insured and my shed is locked. If I go for long periods of time I use the chain through the weel.

Also have a Doberman :)

I guess some one could just use my battery angle grinder and cut the chain lol.

Haha. I know if people want a bike they'll find a way to take it. But hopefully a few locks will act as a bit of a deterrent.

All you can really do is deter the opportunistic thieves really. It's the same with anything.

paying stamp duty twice that way. better off paying the late fee

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

How long until you get back, Mark?

You have 14 days to transfer the rego. As long as the seller writes the receipt in your name, you'll be fine.

You can transfer it online, as long as the seller lodges a notice of disposal
