Yep, but you have to make sure you stick the hose on full power in the oil cap afterwoulds otherwise the sand can get stuck in the engine. You have to make sure you keep the water running enough until you see a steady stream out the bank of the exhaust.

Shaz, more efficient way of washing the engine is to remove a spark plug, fill the bore with water then put the plug back in.. start the car and it will pressure wash that bore.
