I have removed and cleaned them on all doors and they're all in exceptionally good condition. It probably happened prior and the pad was replaced at that time but the damage already done.

What's the rectangular hole for? Radiator drain?
Sump plug cutout - Flat edge is front of car. Though both holes look a bit too far back?

Yep a good chemical clean a rub , etch prime and colour straight on top for a bullet proof coating.

I agree -- it'll be in the right spot, but just doesn't 'look right' when leaning up against a wall.
So no oil filter hole then if it goes the way you say?
oil filter round hole, sump plug rectangular hole.

Now I look at it, seems so. Time will tell when I fit it. If I have to remove for oil/filter change so be it. ![]()
