Really? Last time I got one it was about $14. The genuine one I got before HVC was $19

I get my oil filters done at ICHIban, and he uses genuine Subaru oil filters at no extra charge. I'm happy.

I'm probably gonna change over to Penrite HPR 10 for summer. Is that what ichibum put in yours?

I picked up a repco filter because they didn't have any ryco in stock. Heaps more expensive than ryco. Pretty much the same cost as a genuine one.

I have used the repco filters plenty of times too, nothing wrong with those!

I'm not saying don't use them, but I sure as shit wouldn't be driving out of my way and paying extra for one over a ryco.

I have two mates who mechanic at subaru. They said subaru are ryco, they just use a smear of peanut butter on their toast.

STUPID FUCKING PERSON.

Last time they gave me one which was tiny. It fit, but gut instincts told me to take it back. Probably would've been fine but I had already spent too much time thinking about a car part that basically is something that doesn't deserve the attention.
