Hey brother,

Congrats on the wedding, I was wondering how it all went.

New mods and the tune have got you sum good numbers.

Gee, its quiet around here.

Did a trip down to Canberra way a week back. Taller 5th is appreciated, and I was reminded just what a surprisingly comfortable and capable grand tourer this thing is with the TT engine in it.

I did notice some minor engine temp rise during stop/go traffic in a hot spell we had in Sydney a month or so back. Once the engine is fully up to temp and heat soak sets in, the pissy electric fans I have aren't up to the job. I need to up-spec them at some point before next summer.

Anyone know if there's some slimmer Subaru OEM fans that are likely to fit?  The gen3 fan motors are too deep and interfere with the front of the engine with the fatter rad core.

Hey Duncan,

I ran a huge 3 core alloy radiator from a GD wrx/sti for a number of years, it cooled really well ( temp gauge never moved ). But like you have found out, there is not much space left for fans, I ran the GD fans, they are lower profile than the gen 3 fans.

Like Nick has done I now run the Koyo hyper V alloy rad from a GC8 wrx/sti in the gen3, fans i'm using are from a gen 2 rx NA.

Getting GD fans will give you more room up front.
