I was aware that there would be an increase in NVH.
I re-used my current header gaskets as I had to remove my headers and cats to access the required nuts/bolts.
Upon start-up I noticed there was more noise, especially boxer rumble, and a slight burning smell and hissing in the engine bay, something that I have attributed to as failed gaskets, even though they were torqued down correctly. I have already sourced some replacement gaskets.
The NVH imo is borderline unbearable.
Have any of you experienced something similar with installation of a Group N tranny mount?
I have Group N pitch stop mount already in my car and I have engine mounts to put in too.
Do you think the bush has affected the tailshaft in relation to the transmission box?
The driveline doesn't feel stiffer, but this may be because of the header gasket leak.
Cheers.
