Forward facing inlet

11 June 2015 - 09:44 AM

Just wondering what would be involved in turning the inlet manifold on a ej25 na 180, from what I can tell the bolt holes will almost line up, a little bit of grinding with a dremmel might fix this, then there's the locating pins, cut them down or drill new holes for them when turning the manifold around, i'm assuming there will be a few other little things that might get in the way or be a pain, but i'm willing to give it a shot and then run an OTR like the Commodores do. Not too worried about making bulk hp, just want to do something different, any help would be great! Cheers

Front sway bar and strut brace

07 June 2015 - 10:55 AM

Hey all, just removed my coilovers for a bit more comfort (for now) and want to tighten up the front end as I've already got a whiteline 20mm rear sway bar, as parts for a gen 3 seem to be way more expensive than any other model, what other subaru sway bar and strut brace are the same? I'm sure something has to be! Would gc8 be the closest? Thanks for any help!

Gen 3 brakes

19 May 2015 - 11:51 AM

Hey all, have almost sorted out the suspension on my gen 3 Liberty and now it's time to move onto the brakes, it seems quite expensive going the wrx brakes route I know his would be the quck and easy way of fixing my problem but i'm wondering if there is another route? What I was thinking is pulling apart the old brakes and rebuilding them, putting in good pads qfm possibly? (Suggestions?) and braded brake lines and maybe a brake master cyl stopper? Obviously new good fluid as well, Will this make my brakes much better? Or would it be a waste of time, energy and money? Thanks in advance

Sway bar decisions

21 April 2015 - 03:26 PM

Hi all, been doing as much research as possible and this is what I've come up with please let me know if you have any other suggestions in the same price bracket!

Cusco 22mm and 19mm
Front and rear sway bars $487

White Line 22mm and 20mm
Front and rear sway bars $530

White Line 22mm and 20mm
front and rear sway bar plus strut brace $582

I'm leaning toward the cusco as I've read they have the best fitment but i'm worried about after sales service and will other components work with them? The second white line option is probably best value but I've read that strut braces do sweet F all

Opinions/suggestions? Cheers!
Will be coupled with bc v1 coilovers very shortly, if that's any help, rest of the suspension is stock as far as I can tell apart from a couple new bushes cheers

Rear wheel drive liberty

18 April 2015 - 12:48 PM

Hi, i'm sure this has been covered before but I couldn't find anything on here and I need to ask a few questions, if someone can link me that would be great! But if not here it goes! I have a 2000 gen 3 Liberty 2.5, non turbo, I've found a transfer case and rear diff out of a 2003 Impreza that I want to weld to convert to rwd and weld the diff so that it's locked (yes i'm aware that's the dodgy way but that's how I want to do it for now) what i'm wondering is,
Will the transfer case bolt up? From what I've read it will
Will my driveshaft work?
Will my rear half shafts work in this diff?
Will the rear diff bolt up?
Basically i want to do it this way so that if anything breaks or I don't like it I can revert it back and no harm done (well maybe a little bit who's counting) also apart from the new centre diff bearing, new seal, new gearbox oil and diff oil, plugs to cap the front diff, is there anything else i'm missing? Basically I can get all the parts welded up and ready for installment then
I'm hoping one day of work should get the drift package all in, hoping.... Thanks for any help
