My engine has 60k on it and it gets Delvac MX. 20L drums cost me $96.

I would run it in a brand new Subaru. ;)

Things get kept clean, Oil consumption is near nil unless you have serious issues and it's very cheap.

There you go then!

I do rate the stuff.
I'm pretty sure you daily the beast so 5k oil changes are the way to go.
2 hot turbos wouldn't do great things to oil.

Well have switched from 5w30 Castrol to 10w40 Nulon so gonna keep an eye on it for now.

Will definitely look into delvac for the next oil change!

But yeah the beast is the daily and driven a fair bit through the week too.

full synth isn't good in any suby motor (10w60 edge an exception and is what I have run for a couple years now)

This is what I use. HPR 10 10W-50 (full synthetic). As already explained, I get my oil changed every service which I assume is every 6 months/10,000 km.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

IMO if you are changing oil every 5K then a full syn is a waste of money.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

So I'm better off to look into a semi synthetic oil?

I use the same in the Legacy, Gary. Benny got me onto it down at the 'Ban.

Dino oil?

made from old dinosaurs and plants (well.. mostly the plant bits).

Traditionally pumped out of the ground and refined.

Delvac can be had at repco cheap fo 5L bottle

In newy we go to the mobil distributor and get it for $96/20L drum

my oil hasn't ever moved off the stick since using it

Change every 3 months/5000 with filter due to the detergents in it that keep your suby shiny inside.

That's exactly why I'm on it. Ben said it's good and it's great to know I am supporting local business. The only other oil I'd use is the genuine Castrol stuff.

i've run delvac for the last 10,000 in my N/A no noticeable difference

Going to penrite for another 10,000 and see if i can notice anything

Probably wont

HPR10 or Delvac would be my pick for any EJ engine
