They are a great tyre, I ran them on my old bug eye.

Bridgestone Store in Tuggerah, They're currently $189 a tyre for 225/45/17 and buy three get one free.

Shit. I've gotta check this deal out then. I'd prefer them over the KU31's. Thanks for mentioning it man, hopefully it isn't a deal only at the Tuggerah store! Although I think mine will be significantly more expensive due to bigger tyre size.

KU31 have been discontinued for just under a year and is slowly being replaced with KU39.
Tempe will have shitloads of them left as they buy them in bulk. They are a "ok" tyre.

My favourite mid range tyres are:

SP Sport Maxx
Pilot Sport 3
RE002

Don't cheap out on tyres. A good set of tyres can change the way a car feels in a big way.

The reply I received from the guys at Bridgestone in Stanmore; in 215/45 R18 the only tyres they have in stock are the Potenza S001's at $245 each. :(

Looks like I'm leaning more towards the $144 Kumho KU31's.

Random question Cam, considering they've been discontinued, what's the shelf life on them? They'd still be good enough for use, right?

I don't rate the KU39's. I currently have them on the 5 and I can't wait to replace them.

There's not much else within the $150 per tyre range though, unless they're REAL shit or cheap-o Chinese brand.

Unfortunately that is a pretty uncommon size.

It's a shame you can't run 225/40 instead because Tempe have Goodyear F1D5s for $167 each.

Dang it. All Bob Jane Erina had over Christmas was their cheapo brand and I was seriously desperate for new rubber on the Calais.

Wish I knew about the Bridgestone deal at Tuggerah!

Morgs I think most of the time if you shop around someone will have a 4 for 3 deal on. I got my current advans on one of those sales and it feels like they're always on somewhere.

Yeah I often hear about them on TV/radio.
Unfortunately I had the time off between Christmas and New Year to get it done. The trade off being that no one has any stock around :(

I'm pretty sure I heard Bob Jane having a four for three sale on at the moment...

Sucks. Oh well. The best thing I can do is shop around and go with the best deal.

He didn't mention anything in his email... Perhaps I can ask the question in my reply.
