Farkin cubts at work have just told us we will no longer be paid the one hour of non teaching pay (lower rate) each day we teach.
That hour covers finalising assessments and uploading results.
Get this, they still expect us to do the work.

Farkin cubts at work have just told us we will no longer be paid the one hour of non teaching pay (lower rate) each day we teach.
That hour covers finalising assessments and uploading results.
Get this, they still expect us to do the work.

It is in Vic.
We had all our redundancies last year. With the change of state govt after that, the first thing they did was stop all future redundancies. What this means is they prevented TAFEs from shedding costs in the form of excess/ineffective teachers but did nothing to increase revenue. The bloke running our section is a useless cubt, all he does is cut costs to save money right down to the petty thing like work boots. He sent out an email stating that all institute purchased safety boots remain the property of the institute, must not be used for non-institute work and must remain on site at the end of each day. All to do with a $100 pair of boots. His attitude does nothing for staff morale and ends up costing more as no one is willing to do anything 'over and above' what they are required to. Teachers tend to put their students above most things and now they are taking advantage of that.
Hell of a way to run a railroad.......

Moring cubts.
Why is it only wednesday.
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,right off.

Yeah I think it went pretty swimmingly Sack. I met with 2 x Area Managers, and one of them was the branch manager at North Sydney when I was there, so a good part of the interview was having a joke, and reminicing about "old times".
Definitely was one of the more relaxed interviews I've been too. I think thats what I like about Bankwest, is that because they aren't one of the "bIG 4" they don't seem to take everything as seriously as anywhere else.
Should hear back in a week or 2 they reckon.
