Hey guys, I got JDM door trims from, the half leather and cloth seats from ichiban, however in still trying to find the proper plug for the white light in the door trims.

My Rev A wiring doesn't be the harness. And I've been looking at some wreckers for a lib with the plug but I've had no luck.

Does anyone know where I can source OEM plugs or even know what plug it is?

Thanks guys.

I'm talking about the white lights in Japan that come on the front door trims in the bottom right. In Australia the B4's had red lights, and the last model gen 3 rx also had red lights.

I'll post a photo soon. Ahaha.

Same here, wires shouldn't be too hard I hope, just finding the plug will be the worst

The only difference between the JDM option and the red B4 lights are the lenses themselves

Was the B4 the only model here in Oz that got the door lamps?

I might be talking out my arse here but I'm fairly confident that RevE AUDM RX and B4 had the red door lamps. My RevD BH9 didn't but I remember seeing a mate's 2003 Heritage with them. Man, that really doesn't help anyone... lol

Ah just curious. I assume the OP's didn't have any at all, hence the question.

Couldn't Pat just wire it (piggyback) into the door switch or whatever tells the car the doors open?

That would probably be the easiest option..

Or find the wire that runs down the front a pillar from the centre interior lights

Yup, only the Audm My03's had the door courtesy lamps.
No door wiring on the early models as far as I can tell.

Yeah Kong basically summed it up, only audm RX rev e had the door lights and a factory mono (and the b4). The wires are no problem, I'll just use the door ajar sensor so it turn on with the door opening, I just need the physical plug that plugs into the lights socket on the inside of the door trim :)

I've also got a footwell lighting kit I'm gonna wire in on the same circuit. :)

For the plug wouldn't it just be a positive and ground? So couldn't it just be soldered?

It could be soldered onto the terminals pre existing but all the mods I'm doing I'm trying to do them as close to factory as I can, I want it to look factory, I'm a bit picky haha!
So I'm still going to wreckers trying to find plugs , and when I get them I'll write up how I get them to work haha

On GenIIIs with factory puddle lamps; when a door is opened, do all puddle lamps turn on or just the ones on that door?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Ta.

I just looked up the circuit diagram. The puddle lamps are fed battery voltage and are earthed via each door switch.

For some reason the RH lamp has a diode in the ground circuit, can't really see why it's there? Doesn't look as if can back feed according to the diagram.

For those playing at home, it appears that the puddle lamps are fed through a pair of 25 pin connectors in the bulkhead wiring harness.

Connector B101 is the RH one and the lamp uses pin 19 (LR wire) for batt and pin 23 (BrR wire) for the ground that is switched by the door switch.

Connector B30 is the LH one and the lamp uses pin 19 (LR wire) for batt and pin 23 (RL wire) for the ground that is switched by the door switch. The RL wire carries the diode between the lamp and the switch.

L = Blue

R = Red

Br = Brown
