Stock boot went on today

Looks much better.

Agreed, about 1000000000000 times.

Living that Evo life...

Clutch pedal went to the floor in the city. Had to get rescued.

Turns out it was just a hose, luckily.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Well going by his recent luck the engine will probably drop out of it if he gives it some Kong.

Very true.

Mad car though.  Looks tough as. An evo 8 (I think) pulled up whilst we were talking shit.  Looked so ugly in comparison.

Once the teething problems are sorted it's going to be wicked.  Get on to that will you Sam.

Engine is sorted now. Just need to get it built before I go chasing big power.

Got it booked in Sept to get a proper 98 tune.
No need for e85 yet and it's current tune isn't great.

Should be getting a COP conversion kit today. :)

Love these, this is one of those cars I think look weird without a spoiler. Some cars can get away with it but some just look weird.

Not a lot of difference in looks between Evo 7, 8 and 9 Kong, are you thinking of the Evo 10?

How much power are you chasing?

My brothers evo 5 was pushing 290-300 @ the wheels on a stock block for 2 years before it went pop.

i was under the understanding 7 motors were good to about 230-240 before they become a ticking time bomb. a mate of mine just had his 8 tuned to 300kw on e flex and its a rocket but 8s run on 300 happily.

So, my COP conversion didn't work. Car blew 2 coilpacks, and I don't know why. Started to misfire on boost with the stock coils/leads, so I replaced them with some low km units and it's running sweet as now.
Will be putting new plugs in this week.

Will just leave it as is, till I can work out why it didn't like it.

Also, because the old folk were having a whinge..

Evo 8 stockies. Couldn't decided on a wheel choice..

Stock plates too -

But, that lasted all of about 2 seconds. :P
