Hey mate. Yep! Coming hvc this year buddy?

Going to try like hell.

If like previous years it is not during the school break, it may work better for me.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

It's not worth the drive just for it, but definitely better than McDonald's. :P

Most of the burger joints in Newtown are better in my opinion.

The drive and catch up made it worthwhile though.

Yep.

It's not uncommon for body repair and paint to go north of $20k.

Seen it plenty, looks good until the paint comes off.

Reminds me of something.....

Years ago a mate wanted a late 60's Mustang as a daily for his missus as she didn't drive much. I suggested against it as the upkeep would be the same as if she were driving an XY Falcon, plus I was fairly sure she would be in it for the looks but find it a POS to drive.

Now he has one she refuses to go in it, let alone drive it. Too hot, noisy, uncomfortable etc.....

Yep, thinking of ditching 70's and going for 90's JDM, or even an EVO VII. Just need to buy somethimg at the bottom of its depreciation cycle.

That is always hard to pick. My guess is most post 50s cars peak at around 30 years of age.

Just a hunch really...

I think most late 90's JDM, unless in revival like GTRs is quite reasonable. A clean EVO VII can be $10-15k which is fine for me, 14yrs old, modern, wife can drive when she needs a car (every blue moon). Rest of the time I'll sunday drive it.

Unless someone wants to sell a white sedan Gen 2 conversion anytime soon......

What about early/mid 90's, like an Evo III GSR?

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

A greek mate owns a tidy RX3, don't care for it really, looks nice but not my bag. Rotaries are too much black magic.

I've got two cousins who own a candy apple RX-3 and a midnight blue RX-7 Series II. Both are absolute machines. I'll have to dig up some pics as I've only got videos of the RX-7 on YouTube.

You aren't wrong. I have said the same thing to my cousins and they've both said they'd do it again if they had the chance.

Fuggin hell.

HVC looks like an issue for me yet again!!

I have to work the Thursday and the Monday. Best case I leave Friday, stay at a friends farm down south Friday night, head to HVC (@Adam how long is the drive from yours??) Saturday then back to the farm that night and drive home Sunday.

I'm knackered just thinking about it....

That is a bit of a mission and you'll have to stick to strict times to make it all work. No chance of getting the Monday off? Bargo to the Hunter Valley is about 3.5 hours (on the most direct route via the Pacific Highway).

A bloke I went to trade school with had a PP 13B with a 51mm down draught Weber in his RX3.

Absolutely frightening how that thing accelerated.
