Hi all

I have what I believe to be a Gen 3 TT motor 2002 or 2003 with a Denso ECU

1X Denso

11622AG444

112200-0988

I have installed in a mid mount buggy and have what appears to be no spark or injectors.

The half cut did have a keyless Entry module, 88035-AE100 that I am not using, from the wiring diagram I have there is a link if no module is fitted, it is part of the starter motor relay.

Does any one know if there is internal security feature with in the ECU?

All help appreciated.

BTW I need to retain the original ECU for registration of the buggy.

Thanks

Glen

More than likely. The later models I believe have a transponder chip in the original key fob which needs to "talk" with the ECU in order for it to start.

Though, you should have had everything you needed in the half-cut in order to make it plug and play. If you have omitted the Keyless Entry Module, it's the ECU freaking out because it's not there.

I'm pretty sure too it's also connected in some way to the cluster as it'll flash a key symbol upon proximity with it.

I might be wrong.

Try and get a JDM ecu. JDM TT's have no immobiliser. Then change the stickers.
