Probably depends on your use cases.

Lots of short trips where things don't get a chance to fully warm up -- condensation.

Couple of long drives where water can be boiled off and discarded through the PCV -- less condensation.

I'm guessing shutdown on a cold damp night also pulls in moist air in as the engine cools off.

-- Hmm, this sounds about right as my commute to work is only 5 mins (perks of not living in Sydney) and then the car is shut off warm when the temperature is starting to really drop. I generally see the water in the catch can after a long drive.
