Are you supposed to:
Keep it in gear with the clutch in?
or
Put in in Neutral and Let the Clutch Out?

Even if there was some discrepancies between instructions, I would always go with the 'always in gear' option.
Not every instructor is the same and you might be ok to do it but personally I wouldn't risk it. Lights are red for a couple of mins and the test is what? Half an hr?
My advise is to over-accentuate EVERYTHING! Whenever the car moves over 1m to the left or right, you're supposed to do a head check. Make sure the tester knows you're doing a head check. You're supposed to check the review mirror once every 10sec or something. Make a big deal out of this. As in move you whole head not just your eyes so that the instructor can see youre doing it!

Do so many head checks that your not even looking at the road in front of you. If possible - grow a secondary head to check that the instructor is seeing your other head's head checks.

If only he could just do that. Unfortunately he'll fail the test if he does.Just drive.
The driving test requires you to keep stupid distances between cars both in traffic and when joining a main road. They tell you not to worry about the cars in your rear view mirror as all that matters is your abiding by the law.
Personally - I recall dumbing down my driving style just to pass the test. As Mark Skaife said - kids learn how to pass the test, not drive the car.

Anyone Know What the Rules are (For The NSW P's Test) Regarding Stopping at Lights.
Are you supposed to:
Keep it in gear with the clutch in?
or
Put in in Neutral and Let the Clutch Out?
On your ps test, you can never be out of gear (unless youre between changing gears)
So option A
Way to fugg the clutch!

Mmmm...
If he was serious he would have sectioned it, as well as chopped it.

So washed the Outback this morning - first time since the 4WD course last weekend.
Looks like I've damaged the front bar a little more than first thought! It's been covered in mud for a week so didn't even realise!
Bit hard to tell but that first pic is of the air dam. It seems I've dug it into the ground too hard and now the paint is all cracked and bubbling and scratched!
