B4 sits at 2500rpm at 110, but it has help I guess.
Better than the Cruze we were given in NSW (hire car)... 5000rpm to maintain 110 on the F3. Would drop to 3500rpm on a flat surface, but any hill, drop back 2 gears, stupidly underpowered car.

As Jesse suggested, soak the bolts in wd40 first. I did mine days before (you can still drive it) and it still sheared the two bolts at the cat.
You will have to delete/modify the plastic cover under the motor.
If its running through the stock exhaust, you can just hear the boxer note...
... with your head inside the rear muffler and the engine doing 9000rpm.
Hahahaha, I got a full catback system installed a while ago, so I'm hoping the boxer note will be quite present!
Yeah man I did mine pretty easy, used only one jack stand and I think a 12 or 14mm socket.
Easy as! Let me know what it sounds like heat wrapped. Mines very tinny.
Yeah might get a video of before/after. Hoping it isn't too tinny or raspy.
Nick, if you get stuck mate, let me know. Happy to lend a hand.
Just went out with a mate and took some pics of the rig with his 2 new external flashes. Some of them look epic. Pics to come.
Thanks Shazza man, may take you up on that offer! You still keen on the bumper too dude?
Get out of my thread.

Why the autos rev lower?
They have a torque converter.
This multiplies the engines torque below the coupling speed.
Off idle under load is where the greatest multiplication takes place so a taller final drive ratio can be used. The equates to a lower engine speed when crusing.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

They are good for cruising! It's around town where they churn it up!
P'raps I should get me one. I use the freeway every day...
We have a VS workshop car that we use to get parts around the area we work etc... Since its always doing 1km trips and in open loop mode it chews through the fuel, get 250-280 per tank which is the same fuel economy as my B4.
But on the highway, the ol commodore humms along.

14mm socket, don't forget to unplug your 02 sensor. I used an angle grinder to remove the bolts that join the headers to the cat, as I broke a spanner trying to un do it.
Driving home lastnight from being out on the Piss we seen a fire and went to have a look. We got their before the firebrigade and police did. I called 000 but the operator said they have already had calls of it. It was crazy/ scary to see how big the fire was and then how quickly it got even bigger. Neighbors said a young family lived there but they were away for the weekend. I'll Definatly be checking electrical items are turned of around the our house now!! It was as simple to prevent as turning of a switch.
Hope everyone's having a safe weekend!
