Best bet would be either HCW or GotItRex.

Why not just replace the head gasket ??
As per Nick's advise above, maybe add Top Torque to your list also.

There's water damage and scoring in one of the bores.

Ok, thanks for the extra info.
Sounds like you need a new short motor, reco your heads if required, then put it all together.
Contact Rising Sun Subaru(Noosa) or Ichiban(Sydney) they should be able to help you.
What part of Melb ya from ??

Ring Scott @ Ichiban see what he has, see what Ebay has to offer.
Make sure you get an Revision A to C engine, make sure your car is a rev a - c, if its a 2000 model it should be.
Because later ones are a bit different.
Good luck with your time to get it going.
Ps I you post a pic of your car we can check it out for you.

For the sake of one race meet would it hold out with a HG replacement? Or is the bore that far gone?
RSK is NA correct? If not then bin that idea. (I'm not up with those model designations yet).

Nice looking GTB there! And a mean set of brakes.
Congratulations on the gongs!
