hi, ive had a few issues with my car over the last couple of months, its a 2003 B4 RSK and thought they all had been fixed, here are the ones that were found and fixed,
1) primary turbo solenoid buggered and replaced.
2)aftermarket BOV leaking, replaced with factory one.
3)restrictor pills missing or in the wrong place.
4)vacuum lines around the wrong way.
now something else is happening, but only sometimes, when im giving it s**t, at around 6000rpm, there is a big kick, the check engine light comes on and the turbo's drop off line, i have to turn it off and restart it, after that the turbo's are going fine again, any thoughts??

Hi Rob.

Sounds like a fuel cut. Possibly a boost cut.

Why do you have to turn it off? Does that clear the CEL?

Mark

PS. Instead of the clickbait title if you put something meaningful there it'll draw the right people to help with your problem, and also helps others later when they search with similar problems. And putting your post in the Twin Turbo section is more likely to get advice from the guys who know TT.

oh, cheers mark, ill change the title now, it turns the check engine light off and it runs normal again, im thinking it may be over boosting and the ECU shuts them down

so - assuming your overboosting and causing boost cut, and you mention pills - the first thing you should check is all the pills (especially primary boost pill to solenoid) are correct sizes.

Find out what codes throwing firstly. I'd expect to see a code for the front O2 sensor amongst others.
