Gents,

I'm stuck with my old exploded EJ206 long motor (sans intake manifold/turbos/sensors) and an early CD EJ20G. I'm at a loss on how to get rid of them as they are taking up valuable space and there's nothing useful left on them. I'm at the stage I just want them gone. I'm at the point where it's a physical strain to move them (explody spine) and I can't deal with them anymore. I'm past trying to sell them.

Does anyone know if there are any services or anything where someone will come out and just take it? Would scrap metal guys be interested in them?

I'm nearly at the point I would pay someone to take them away.

Ugh. Same question. Have motorcycle frame that needs to go!

I guess all you can do is make a few calls to scrap metal dealers Jimbo.

If B'town is Blacktown NSW then maybe the TAFE there could use them?

its a big slab of aluminium -- got to be worth something to a scrap dealer... even if its 'come and pick it up' price.

I sent an email off to one that's down in Riverstone. They said they took cars on their website so I would think a couple of (porky) chunks of aluminium wouldn't hurt.

Problem is though, I can't exactly skull drag them down to the end of my driveway for pickup. They'd have to have a couple of blokes come lift them away.

Hard to find one that doesn't want to take any more than commercial sorts of scrap (office gut-outs, backyard's etc)

I drag my long blocks around with one of those $20-30 supercheap trolleys.

I dunno if that'll help you move them with your explody back but it could help you.

All the best with it. The 20G could be of interest if the bores are good. I dunno where b'town is though (Bendigo? Right up my alley!).

Cheers

Fork it. I'll try the FB page. Surely someone would want it/them for free....

Just checked it out, it still moves! Internals move freely, thought it was seized. Obviously a little tough to move with all the weathering and gunk.

What was wrong with it originally? Spun bearing?

No idea, I orginally bought it off Adrian as a coffee table project. He might be able to shed some more knowledge on it.

Coffee table idea never came into fruition so I've been lugging it around while moving houses and I'm kind of sick of it now. I originally posted it up on the FB page as a freebie thinking no one uses old CD2.0 blocks but I got some sound advice that that isn't the case. Threw it up on eBay so if I can get a crisp hunge for it I'm getting back the cash I invested in it.

Never had a real good look at it. But would assume crank and bearings were ok.

But if you were going to use it would need pistons changed as the are the original gen 1 Legacy ones and no good for later heads
