There's nothing really wrong with them. Alex has just gone to a SARD I believe, so he's naturally going to be against anything that he is not using.
I've not heard of any major issues with genuine new Walbro's - have you Pete?
Nah no problems, only with the fakes. Mine was fine, bit iffy on my SARD regulator though. I think it could have been the cause of my motor going pop. Car sounded fine for the first week then started getting a hissing sound coming from the regulator. Blockage? Who knows.

Dylan. No.
I'm currently using a walbro.
But they're noisy, especially in the heat. Not good for ninjastealfstylez.
Pete - So many Sard fakies out there, its worse than the walbros.
Dylan - There's nothing really wrong with them until they're pushed. Not only that, but I have heard of a couple cars fitted with walbros either having
the pump shit themselves, or the motors going pop.
Simple logic is: You pay for what you get.
Cheaper for a $300 pump, that a $2000+ rebuild.
Cheap Insurance.
I'm just going with quality parts with my build.
not calling what you've said BS i'm sure there is a few cases, but i personally know of at least 20-30 subarus running walbros with zero hassles and most probably a couple hundred on rexnet if not thousand!!

fcuk rexnet. i don't take much of what they have to say on board. not much tech there.
walbros are a pubic hair better than factory. if at all. if its genuine.
one day, would be happy to do a bench comparison of a bosch vs walbro.
but im trying to convince the king of tight here!
ive been chatting to a couple guys regarding the sard, and they reckon its the shizzlenit.

I think theres a distibutor on rexnet that has them for the same price, maybe $10 cheaper
I can't imagine the noise being a problem. Is it only loud when priming before you start the car? Mine is pretty loud as it is so no biggy haha
