depends on the job you want to do.

This is my setup

Suspension:
[*]STi Front Strut Brace
[*]Nolathane Full front end replacement bush kit
[*]Whiteline Steering Rack Bushes
[*]Whiteline Anti Lift Kit (Standard Firmness)
[*]Whiteline Rear Strut Brace with Quick Release Fittings
[*]Combined Nolathane/Noltec/Superpro rear bush kit
[*]Nolathane Rear Sway Bar Bushes
[*]Nolathane Alloy Swabar Links front and Rear
[*]Whiteline Roll Centre Adjustment Kit
[*]Whiteline Rear Adjustable Lateral Links
[*]Reconditioned and Revalved Bilsteins to suit Kmac Spring rate
[*]Subaru Bilstein Heavy Duty Strut tops front and rear

I'm planning to add to that in the way of bigger sway bars, (stock are 20mm F&R), STi RA V2 2.7lock-lock quickrack, H-Brace, and we'll see if after all that, it handles anywhere near as good as my bog stock E36 BMW did.

What other mods wiould you need to do to do the job properly Alex? Stuff like the whiteline roll centre adjustment id assume but are there any others?

the best way to do it for a liberty would probably involve sway bars front and back lowered springs and possibly lowered shocks, slighty larger diameter rims, wider rims/tyres, a decent set of tyres works magic, strut braces and so on even go col overs...

but if your on a budget just get lowered springs not stupidly low (i know i shouldnt talk) a decent set of tyres all round and possibly just sway bars
and your car should handle way better than standard
LEB SPEC Gen 2 Rx AWD
Jap Spec EJ25 - 6000k hid kit headlights and fog lights - Leather interior - 18" incubus rims - Super low suspension - Turbo Bonnet - 2.5 inch catback with cannon - front mounted 6x9"s connected to amp - 2 x 12" fusion subs - Pioneer head deck. + turbo timer just because i had one lol

Nice, sounds like it handles like is on rails! So your car is "properly" lowered by the sounds of it? What model BMW did you have? Whats happened with the ride quality with these changed?

Agree'd that tyres make an amazing difference. You dont really know that until you drive a car with decent tyres. Lots of kids at school get sick hektik wheels with $100 tyres. Then they cant understand why I bought some stupid gold wheels just because they have good tyres on them. Strut brace was a decent upgrade for me. Also, i had shagged bushes in my sway bar links so i replaced them with nolothane items, made a massive difference! Less body roll and much more responsive. Ride quality was compromised (spelling fail) a bit though.

When you say lowered shocks do u mean shocks that have a rebound and dampening rate matched too the spring rate?

unless you're going to be competitive. Bilstein/STi struts are the go. Lowered springs are all ****. They acheive nothing on a public road, other than f*Cking you back and rattling your car to peices.
