Cos you've got a busted arse engine that blows smoke and stuff! LOL You're funny Tristan!

So Paul.. What speakers are you getting?

I had no idea that your rear doors didn't have speakers.

If you've got space already provided in the rear parcel shelf, why not go for some nice 4way 6x9's and then a set of splits in the front.

That will give you nice bass response and good mid/high range.

There is only 6" speakers in the parcel shelf. None in the doors. The doors have the provisions for speakers. So I plan to replace all the standard Items and modify the rear doors to suit some more 6" splits. I've not decided which speakers i will get yet. Jovan or Mark, what would be involved in running some splits in the parcel shelf, and modifying the rear C-pillar cover to take a small tweeter? Would it be just a simple case of running the wires from the normal loom to where i need them? Tristian - My car would own yours purely because I'm driving..... ;).

I think there's very little point in having component splits for the rears. You will have a treble gain from the rear window anyway, you're better off sticking with 6" coaxials and you'll be fine. Honestly, the rears are more for fill sound anyway - just to even up the sound stage a bit.

Quoted for the Truth.

I only fitted new rear splits in mine as it came standard with them so i just replaced front and rear.

To run splits in yours In the rear Paul, there really is no benefit due to the speakers being mounted high up. A set of two ways/coaxials will give you the same result with less install hassles.

I swapped all mine to Pioneer 240w x2(front) and 180w x2(rear) I got the fronts splits wired to a crossover and all powered by Clarion headunit 60w rms :D
They take a pounding and a half and they all good! Just make sure you stick to one brand because sometimes they go iffy :)
