Hey everyone, Just got a few questions for you all. 1) Has anyone tinted there own windows? DIY's? If anyone has any info i would be really greatful! also suggestions on brands etc. Also any colour suggestions for a white gen 2 S1 colour coded with gold wheels, thinking just black. 2) Which colour suggestions for painting my brake calipers and rotors, I was thinking black and/or gold but thought gold might be a bit over the top. 3) Do you think I should lower my car first or get an exhaust? Being an apprentice its about one thing at a time :( Thanks for any help/suggestions. Cheers Jesse ps where can i find how to downsize pics??

1) never DIY on tinted windows. leave it to the pro's.
2) black calipers FTW. black rotors FTW.
3) get a decent set of springs first. king springs should do you well for now, and not only will it improve handling, it'll lay the foundations for the beginning of your handling mods.

Kings are one step of Makita's... I seriously hate them with a passion.

Thanks guys, I probably wont go too in depth with handling mods as it is only a FWD and I just want to improve asthetics, I'll also need some rear struts coz mine are rooted, not going to waste money on billies unless i get them real cheap so any suggestions, i have KYB on the front and they seem alright for what i need. If not king springs, what are the alternatives?? Cheers Jesse

Hi, I read your OP and decided I didn't like it. Why are you only worried about the aesthetics? Not important. You can put her on the tarmac with a hundred bucks but how is that going to enhance the driving experience? Do you want to look better, or feel better? Cheers, Nik

HAHA fair enough. i just dont want to spend too much money on performance as it is FWD and i know its kind of pointless in the end run as i will be buyin a AWD gen 2 when i can. Also as ive heard alot of the parts wont transfer over to AWD. I would much rather have a nice clean cruiser and save the money for a better car. I can see where you are coming from and do appreciate the suggestions, i just know i am not going to get what i want performance wise from my current car. Cheers Jesse

haha cheers, yeh already got a decent stereo going on, got jvc headunit leading to one pioneer amp powering 6" coax's in front and pioneer 6" x 9"s in the rear, and another pioneer amp powering a 12" pioneer sub. kinda makes the rear view mirror pointless when turned up lol

KYB + King Springs are the cheapest/best budget combo. Pretty much what every poor spec person uses other than Makita customs... If you don't have the money but badly want an exhaust, just buy a diff-back exhaust.
