Hey Guys.

Havent really talked much about the new car. Thought I would take the time and create a thread for it. This thread will have listed all my completed mods and upcoming mods.

So lets get started,

My car is a 2002 Subaru Liberty B4 that was previously owned by fellow member frank, his name on the forums is Fatcat67.
Frankie has done so far, 99% of all the work. this is what he has done

ej257 dropped in the B4 in jan 07,
honed the cylinders to suit the new forged pistons
Scat conrods
ACL race series bearings
Head stud kit
Cometic head gaskets
40mm PWR alloy radiator
Autronic ECU
Varex Remote Variable Muffler
APS SS42 Turbo
Walbro 255lph
3" turbo back stainless steel exhaust

This is a very brief run down- some things im missing but will update later, fuel pump and other crap.

This is the dyno from the conversion.

Frankie purchased an aftermarket front bumper, will have loads of room for the fmic.

I picked up the car shortly after the front bumper was put on,

Straight away.

4 Pot Wrx Brakes
Super Streets Tein Coilovers
Whiteline 22mm front swaybar
Whiteline 24mm rear swaybar
Anti-lift kit
17" Wrx Rims
Electronic dampening force controller kit
Alpine IDAX-305 head unit - connected to 120gb ipod in glove box.

About 8 months later the following was completed

Rip out brant
Install better alarm
Replace clock spring
Window Tinting

This car is awesome to drive, its quiet and comfy to ride in when the varex is closed and edfc set to soft. Its loud and hard when varex is opened up and the edfc is set to hard.

Stage 1- Completed!

-Rip out brant, install better alarm
-Replace clock spring
-Window Tinting

hey alex, i paid AU $379.00 plus AU $39.00 postage, from mars_performance on ebay, the head unit did come from hong kong, all the instructions were all in another language, though the audio installers (northfield moorooka) were a bit skeptical if the fm radio was going to work in australia. But all good, check out his page on ebay, might have some more for sale.

overall im very happy with the unit, the other day my ipod battery was flat when i started the car, have to investigate if the ipod is turning off or not when car is not running. I simply love having all my music in my car, all the time! rrp for the unit was $699 when i purchased it, so thought i got a bargain!

only a guess but hopefully pushing around 250ATW with that combo. don't want anymore than that without sleeves, bigger head studs and closed decking the block.

Looking good Rhys. I'll have to get a car that gives me the same shove I used to get from your car. Missing the torque a lot these days. :(

Hahahahah, true Richo, and that was in 50deg with 250% humidity.
In normal conditions it's much stronger.
Don't you ever bring that type of weather to QLD again.
Hats off to Rhys however for going further into the power zone. With the mods he is proposing it should be a pretty complete package.

Booked with amauto today, car is going into their workshop on the 12th for - brant removal surgery - installation of new alarm. - hopefully clock spring replacement. trying to source a clock spring right now. ordered fire extinguisher as well, hate the idea of engine bay fire without one. now saving for window tinting and new gearbox.

Get Al to knock you up a fire extinguisher mount for you Rhys.

just a bar that goes between the front seat bolts, and attach teh extinguisher mount to that.

bolt it to the passenger side front seat bolts, and voila! Within reach in the event of an emergency, but out of the way...and out of the view!

I did the same with our LJ Torana, except its in front of the drivers seat. Works well as it moves with the seat. I pinched the idea from Mercedes Benz!!
