looking good mate, i think the bbs's suit the car when lowered, oh and silver ....damn you blue b4

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

I should just convert to single, right?

Thread revival:

Since Nov not much has happened, painted calipers/hubs/towbar black. Replaced H/Light, parker, fog and number plate bulbs with 4000K (Not HID's but they're pretty good, spesh in the rain).

Has now been retired from daily duties, so I can give it some TLC and have a play without having to have everything back together in a few hours...

1st on list was catch can which I've now got (almost) in, just gotta wait till Monday for the new PCV-Manifold pipe... this has been 100 times worse and taken 6 times as long as I thought it would, mainly because I do something then look at it and see a better way.
I'm pretty happy with it all (my bodgy job on the intake duct has worked).

Here's a pic:
Posted Image
Anyone who reckons a catch can doesn't fit in front of the battery can eat my shorts... Sure it doesn't look like it'll fit, but bit of gentle massage and manipulation and it fits nice. Also put new v-belts on while I was at it as had to take alt off to get at breather lines.

Did oil and filter change the other day as I wasn't happy with the Fuch's oil (super titan GTO), interestingly my mech (Suby specialists) have also stopped using Fuch's as they weren't happy with it either. Changed to Hitec 5w30 (full synth) as that's what they had at the w/shop, they're getting me the 5w40 for the next change, car feels alot better with the Hitec in.

Have got some Nulon 75w90 full synth oil to put in the g/box & diff when I'm finished with CC.

Well it's in and all back together, pcv-mani hose isn't in Oz and has to be back ordered from Japland.

Found a heater hose that had same bend in it cut it down to fit and will make do with that for now.

Did the G/box and diff oil today... even with a 13mm sq plug tool I couldn't get the drain plug out of the diff (rounded it instead :dash2: ) so resorted to trying to syphon it out thr the filler hol which resulted in a nice drink of used diff oil before remembering about the 100ml syringe I have in the garage (for this type of incident). Slow, slow process but got it all out in the end (well, of the 800ml that should of been there I had just over 700ml in a jug and a nice puddle under the diff and at least 30ml in my mouth).

This is what I found on the g/box plug

Spose it's better on the plug than floating round the box.

May just be a placebo effect but when I took it for a drive to warm the fluids up today it feels smoother accelerating after coasting since putting the CC in (not that it felt rough before but it just seems that little bit better now).

Also, after a week with Hitec oil the small rattle it had at idle since I got it (sounded like a loose tappet does) seems to have gone.

And after changing the belts and giving the pulleys a hit with belt grip the A/C doesn't squark anymore.

And that's the wrap up from Buzz's Garage for the week... Time for :drinks:

Thought I'd throw up a pic of the brace cause I'm bored... since changing the IC the BOV has been facing up as the hose from the man. to the brake booster was to short to go over top (and I was too lazy to change it). Was a tight fit with the BOV facing up,
and after fitting the brace when the eng moved (underload etc) the BOV would hit on the brace. Bit of 8mm fuel hose and BOV is back in stealth pos.

Does the strut brace actually do anything? On GC8 rexs strut braces help a fair bit but in the GDs it does bugger all unless you're supersprinting or the like. So I can't see it being very useful on a B4. Looks good though.

Wouldn't say it makes a huge difference, tho mine already had pretty good handling. Also haven't taken it for a good run with it on yet. Turn in is better, car feels a bit more sure footed.

This arrived today.
Posted Image

Pencil'd in for re-tune next Wed. providing....

*centre pipe arrives before end of week, and,

*I get the car back from panel beaters on Fri, and,

*the different exhaust bits mate up properly (or have time to get them adjusted), and,

*I have no probs changing the ex housings and ecv....

so yeah, is a pretty big ask from where I'm sitting ATM, but hopefully the car gods will shine on me and it'll all come together in time.

Oh, and before y'all get excited and think I've pulled a Walts.... it's no biggy getting fixed, just a love tap that some inconsiderate bastard decided to leave a few months ago.

Centre pipe arrived yest, so that's good.
