"Only mods i intend to do is some 18's either 3.0RB or CS9's, mesh grille and maybe STi lip (lip maybe not a good idea with the missus driving), sports pedals and maybe change the exhaust tips"

Hahahha your original plan has grown a fair bit.

How do you find the sti exhaust vs the aftermarket one you had? Performance drop? What you think of the sound from the twin scroll 2L?

Haha, yeh. Well they were the plans when it was the family car. Now its mine that changes everything. :D

STi exhaust is quieter on WOT and it actually feels a little more punchy down low which I would put down to the slight increase in back pressure.

I prefer the single scroll sound, but it did sound pretty good with the HKS mufflers for a twin scroll.

Two emails and a phone call to Hyperflow netted a nice price on a TMIC. The fit and finish is top notch, with every oem piece fitting back in place with only a couple of minor adjustments needed. Didnt even need to trim the engine cover at all.

Also changed the door courtesy lenses to JDM clear ones and replaced all interior lights with LEDS.

Also got an as new T145/70/17 spacesaver to suit.

Im running 225/40/18 atm anyway so just swapping them over.

I'll give them a good clean and polish tomorrow and decide if I'll get them redone or keep as is.

Trial fitment......

Black or silver calipers? I'm keeping them rims this color I reckon. Black calipers would get silver decals. Thing is the clear reacted poorly with the paint. I have to repaint anyway.

Cheers guys.

Sticking with the silver. Stands out nicely. Black gets a little lost imo.

Fitted the STi rims today with some black RAYS nuts. Just waiting on the STi braided brakes lines and new brake decals to arrive so I can fit the Brembo's up.

I was going to fit the Brembo's today after sanding and repainting them (again) but realised I had no brake fluid and had thrown out my bleeding setup! (I didnt remember this till later......)

So I installed some 6000K HID's in the low beams instead. Will do the HID's fogs to match (have them sitting here) but have a new bumper on the way from Japan so will do the fogs when I fit this. Already installed some SMD LED parkers to match.

How good are those tiny ballasts! Had them on mine which are now on Shaz's wagon.

So easy to attach to the underside of the unit

What front bar you getting?

Where do you source your hids from? The place I get them doesn't have the slim ballasts, dad wants some 4300ks for his lib and that's a neat install!
