This issue is not related to the age of the clutch. It is a fault in the operating system. IMO a good mechanic will also quote on new hydraulics (or cable) when quoting on a clutch replacement.

Could it also be related to heat off the intercooler e.t.c affecting the hydraulics (just guessing) but im gonna say no because i dont have the problem.

No a Suby, but meh ;)

When I got a new clutch put in the Skyline a couple of years ago I had a similar problem (i.e. it only started when the clutch was changed). I'd take it back to the place that changed it and by the time I got there it was working fine again! They eventually agreed to bleed the lines for me... since then no probs. Takeup is just as tight (i.e. quite close to the floor) as the day it was put in, and no more funny business!

Didn't they at least replace the clutch fluid when they did the clutch?????????????
