across the front of the engine LOL! the one in the front bar is vacuum, the oil cooler line literally sits a few cm off the engine and has its short run across the front of the engine... such a jokeThat being the oil line that runs along the front bar? haha

hahaha, it's good fun trying to find the oil cooler on it (when your expecting it to look like a cooler).

I know hey, its pathetic.. hmm I might put a proper oil cooler on mine... meh CBF
yep, tho I spose in a way it's kinda good that they run the lines, makes puttin a cooler in that little bit easier.

Wouldn't be hard to add something like this tho:

(but smaller)

Could you add that without any negative effects? Or do you need a better oil pump etc.?
Sorry about the off-topic

Is that not the coolant line that feeds the cooler in the filter pad?
In the workshop manual it clearly says "Oil Cooler"

To tap a cooler into this pipe would mean you have installed a second radiator!
That would add at least 50 wasps

Are you sure that they are forged? I've been asking around and have got 2 replies saying there is nothing forged about them.EJ206 is BH auto so comp ratio is 9.0:1 190kw. EJ208 is manual so 8.0:1 206kw. Both forged just different piston crowns.

i'm a bit skeptical on this also, i dont think they are forged pistons.. i doubt subaru would do this for the legacy B4 which was quite a common car non sti variant.
the s401 on the otherhand i'm sure would have them...

I'm thinking car makers would stay away from forged unless making big Kw numbers.
Imagine the warranty headache.....
Quote: " High strength (up from 152g to 162g) lightweight forged aluminium pistons are used and close attention has been given to the piston design to reduce friction and improve combustion performance. This has been acheived by reducing piston pin offset, use of solid skirt design, with molybdenum coating, reducing top land to cylinder clearance and a flat top combustion surface. The compression ratio is 9.0:1 compared to the WRX at 8.0:1"
