Went for my first "long" drive in my car over the weekend, Went fishing at Port Hughes (about 2.5 hours away)

Car feels stable around 100/110, But up around 120/130 where the turbo tends to drag it, It seems pretty "floaty" or "twitchy" to say the least, Like its tramtracking.

Is there a bush or some suspension component i can change to make the steering seem more solid and stable?

I don't get what you mean. First you say the steering is floaty (ie lack of response) then you say it's twitchy (over responsive) is that what you mean? it alternates between the two?

Whooops, Yeah does sound a bit confusing, Probably over responsive. And seems to Tram track sometimes.

shocks getting worn maybe? not enough rebound so your literally floating accross and the twitching is it getting some force on the road again?

Dodgey alignment?

Would that be the cause of the steering being so twitchy though, Or is that just how they all are?

Too much toe out will cause twitchy steering. Also makes the car turn in faster. Are you saying you have NEVER been more than 50k in the B4? I noticed that our RX felt 'twitchy' the firt time I drove it at 100kph. Actually 'twitchy' is probably not the right word, more like 'direct' but I'm comparing it with a Commodore wagon. The wagon is a far better highway car.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Not in a single trip, Until the weekend.

My old car seemed more solid on the 110k country roads.

....Gen2 +1 lol

i know my gen2 is glued to the road, i spent $2.20 on my way to Mildura and all i got was a rock steady ride.
in the VE though i tried to see how much its worth and lets just say brown marks at $1.80

Pretty much any suspension upgrade will help.

I know mine feels tight even on a country rd after the boost gauge has hidden the needle (185+)... quick lane changes @ 120/130 no worries.

What about a "bump steer kit" or whatever its called, Doesn't that make steering firmer? Would that help?
