Maybe start with the basics. Get the suspension checked by your mechanic. (stay away from suspension 'specalists' unless you know their work) If that's OK, try switching the tyres from front to rear. (keep them on the same side) If its OK then get the wheel align looked at. If that's OK then take another GenIII for a spin to compare. If that's OK then sell the car and buy a Commondore.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Try pumping em up a bit, I used to have mine at 33 fr 32 r and didn't like it (they felt squishy) at 40psi front and 36 rear cold (goes up to round 44 fr 40 r when hot) they feel heaps better...

remember tyres once hot will increase approx 4psi. I fill mine to 36 COLD that way when you give them a bit they peak at around 40psi... any higher than this and you will get a bouncy oversteery ride (in my case anyway :D)

Perhaps look in to control arm bushes. I had stuffed ones and that made my car do all sorts of strange things on the road.

Hi, Also, you should never be doing over 110 on a public road anyway, so I'm unsure why this would pose a problem for anyone? Cheers, Nik

Tom, WTF are you running around with such low pressures for? In 45 profile the optimum pressure is in the 35-40psi range. Mine feels fine at speeds over 100 and I have 36psi all around. Also thread drift- but 44 degrees here in Perth today, I was driving around in it for most of the day and NO PINGING!! Boo yeah. :drinks:

Hi, You can rep me later for checking your tyre pressures, Waltzie. Chad, you should head south mate. We only saw 40 today. Like ice... though I did go and spend a fair amount of money on pedastool fans at Bunnings. :D Cheers, Nik
