As the title states, i am missing a CD. It was in my sisters head unit when she crashed her car and now it wont come out? (I took it out of the crashed car and put it in the new car). I dont know if it has anything to do with the crash but it more than likely? Its one where the facia flips down and there is an eject button under there. I press the button, it makes the whining noise as if it wants to come out. But nothing appears. It then proceeds to make that noise forever. Wondering if anyone has any tricks or solutions to this problem? The downside: Its a no-name brand HU that was a good buy at the time and im now almost ashamed to admit where I bought it. So I wont. And for no good reason, I threw the box out (possibly with warantee and other documents in it) when taking out the trash one day. IDIOT!!!

How important is the CD morgs? I'm sure you can buy/download another easier than getting it out.

Lol at my different options! Though id prefer not to break the thing as it was my present to her for her 18th. I have the CD already on my computer and ipod but i would like to keep the hard copy if i could! My main problem with it is the constant whir it makes when you try and eject it. its soooo annoying! Plus she cant play any other CD's while it is in there! Yes it has an AUX input and she has an ipod but still!

Morgan. Take to it with a set of serious tools. The only resolution here is to break something. That will either be the CD when you reef it out with needle nose pliers, OR; THE HEAD UNIT when you break everything that is sitting around that CD. So... What's it gonna be. This thread needs pics.

Morgs, Remove the HU and take the covers off it. I'm sure you will be able to start the CD on it's exit journey from there. If the unit is trying to eject all the time, eventually it will burn the motor out.

Hi, Just take it apart. You can usually extract them quite easily. It is a common problem on aftermarket H/U's down this way with our nasty gravel roads. Cheers, Nik Also, D/L the CD off the net? Saves you going to KMart Auto's for another one. :D

Apparently that Nail gun shoots fairly large nails at 200 meters per second, So im assuming it would be good for removing a CD that is stuck in a CD player.
