Even with the turbo and the header tank set-up?

So drain it,
Put hose back on,

Then just dump 7.7L of Coolant back into the header tank?

Yes.

Have the front of the car up when you're refilling.

Have heater on inside the car set to max heat and fan.

Keep topping up the header tank (with the line to the overflow blocked/clamped off)

let the fan come on and off for about five or six cycles, whilst squeezing the bottom hose to help agitate the bubbles out.

On the last cycle, as it spits coolant out of the header tank, keep topping up until the fan switches off. Put cap on. Switch off car.

Unclamp hose to overflow. Set water level to full.

Leave car to cool.

It'll consume some of that coolant. Top up the overflow after the car becomes stone cold.

Degrease the engine bay, and monitor fluid and engine bay for leaks.

Yep, just takes longer to fill it back up.

That's basically it.
Just jack the front of the car up (not really necessary, but better safe than sorry sort of thing), idle it, turn on the heater flat out - just heat, not A/C (again, not really necessary, but still better safe than sorry sort of thing) top it up till the thermostat opens (lower rad hose will get pretty hot, fans come on), abit of coolant will flow back out of the tank, put cap back on and go for a drive around the block. Let it cool and check the level again, top it if if needed.

It probably won't take 7.7L, maybe abit over 5L as you can never get the whole system empty.

Edit - I have too much shit on the go at once - beaten...

2002 Outback - it's gone...

FLUSH OUT ALL THE OLD COOLANT FIRST.

And do all the other stuff too.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Hi,

Sounds a bit like **** factor, but I guess STi parts must be better? What makes them better? Do they produce a stronger spark or something?

Cheers,
Nik

Spark?

They are injectors, FUEL injectors. :P

and the B4 comes stock with Pink STi injectors, so it's just like replacing them with a stock part.

Hi,

Haha, I thought it was funny having pink spark plugs. I'm not very onto it this morning. Thanks for quoting my spaz though. Haha.

So they flow more than what an N/A Liberty would have as standard? Yes?

Cheers,
Nik
