Just curious, how efficient is a FMIC set up like this where the inlet, outlet and more than 1/2 the surface area of the cooler are behind the front bar??

Well, it does alot better job and has alot more flow than the old WAIC system. So as long as it did a better job than the old system I was happy, I didn't want to mutilate the front bar just for the sake of a bit more cooler air.
This look doesn't exactly look good or scream "no officer, it's legal I swear": Posted Image
I'd say only 1/3 of the cooler is covered by the front bar, there is a gap in the black/chrome strip that allows for cool air to reach the surface area in between the inlet and outlet of the cooler.

Fair enough, was wondering cos if it's not much difference in efficiency it seems ALOT easier (and looks neater) to do as you have.

Lol, look at those rims! that dude has more serious problems going on than the cops.

Hadn't noticed the gap above the number plate, would get a fair bit of air thru there.

you mean easier to install? it would have been a million times easier to just cut his front bar apart like that black legacy.

A better shot of the outside:

One of the interior:

And a few showing the intercooler piping painted black, and stock airbox put back in with a different intake pipe, also painted black. Slowly getting stealthier :), got a few more things to tidy up and paint and I'll be happy with the engine bay.

Was also having issues boosting anywhere past about 11psi before ignition started to break down. With Mark's help, the spark plugs were found to be the culprit as they weren't gapped correctly (1.1mm instead of 0.8mm)...so she's now boosting happily to 1 bar :D
I'll add a one way valve soon and wind it up to about 16psi for super happy fun times!

Cheers, Grant

she's looking good mate.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Hey mate,

Always been a fan of the RS. Wicked clean example you've got there.
Some nice 20% window tint would finish off the look of the car.
Let me know if you wanna get it done, always do good prices for SC members.

Cheers,
Shazza

Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Anything will look better than the crappy faded purple shite on there now!
Might be a while before I'll get it done though, I'm saving for the NZ ski season.

Airbox and FMIC.

I rikey. AND ABS.

I think this is a work of art, I didn't think running ABS + airbox + front mount was possible, but I now know it is!
