+1

GEN1's usually bore me, cos they're mostly wagons, or all done the same. But this engine plus the beautiful interior is a bit of a stand out. Nice work.

Airbox and FMIC.

I rikey. AND ABS.

I think this is a work of art, I didn't think running ABS + airbox + front mount was possible, but I now know it is!

It's an effing tight squeeze Dylan, but it fits! I had to mould the airbox a bit to fit around the piping though.

And thanks for the positive words fellas :)

How she's sitting at the moment:

Broken front diff, sounded like hell when I was driving it :P
So, gearbox out, big thanks to Mark (scuba-roo) for pretty much doing the whole lot! Just gotta source a replacement now and she'll be up and running again in no time B)

A video I made of the fun times, because I like making videos for everything, so deal with it:

Good ol' fashioned Windows Movie Maker, I've been trying to get a copy of Adobe premiere so I can do some better stuff but haven't had any luck yet.

I'll see if I can find you one Grant.

Nice work with the gearbag removal mate, I know how much of a pain that is doing it on jackstands.

Haha I literally thought the same thing when I was looking for some background music for the video, but didn't have a copy of it :P

That'd be wicked Dylan ;)

Yeah 'pain' is an understatement, much swearing was had! I just hope when the new one goes in it doesn't have to come out for a while.

I've heard good things about Premiere, but haven't had a go at it yet. I have a "legal" copy of Sony Vegas but it seems alot less user friendly than Windows Movie Maker, especially for simple stuff like cutting and pasting.

I ended up extending the lines and putting it on the passenger side firewall, I'll probably end up putting it in the guard though to get rid of the mass of hoses going through the bay.

And cheers for the positive feedback :)

Well she's finally back on the road, huzzah! Replaced a leaky rear main seal while we were in there, and tidied up the oily mess left from the last box. Just glad I can stop driving a corolla every day, although I won't complain about the fuel economy :P
