I was getting bored with the look of my B4 so I decided to pull out my BBS rims and paint them up. I spent most of my saturday sanding, priming and breathing in paint fumes ^_^ I went with a Hi Temp spray paint from a brand called white knight and the colour of choice was Metallic Charcoal.

iPhone pics arent the best but enjoy

You got bored with CS9's?
Whats wrong with you boy?

Haha BBS's good good mate.
The silver/black look seems to be getting popular.
Props for doing it yourself

My car has looked the same fr the past 2 years and im getting i little bored with it haha The tyres on the CS9's are shagged on the inside due to the increased camber after lowering. I'm also due for rego in a few weeks and cant afford tyres for them :(

Im quite happy with the way they turned out considering it was my first attempt at doing this type of thing

I have been thinking about doing this for ages Mosti.

Thanks for actually doing it, beats any photoshop.

It looks tough, but I like the silver on silver too much. I should get another set of Gen 4 GT rims (in my avatar) and paint them charcoal.

I thought about this but decided against it because when my B4 is clean the silver wheels look pretty damn good. Just a pity they're 17in and not 18in. But I looked at that too and have you seen the price of 18in BBS?

Cheers for the kind comments guys

If I get sick of the black I can always just put the CS9's back on. Ahh the advantages of having 2 sets of rims with tyres haha.
My BBS rims had some pretty bad gutted rash on all wheels and was very noticeable, the dark colour has hidden it all.

All up I think it coast me about $75 to paint all 4. I used 320 grit sanding blacks and 400 grit wet/dry sand paper, a can of etch primer, 2 cans of metallic charcoal hi temp paint and a can of clear gloss enamel.

Did you leave the tyres on to paint them?

interesting. i've got a set of wheels that i've been considering getting painted for ages but you reckon it's easy enough to have a crack yourself? did you try and fix the rash or did you just paint over it?

Mosti, did you take the rims off first? If not, what did you do to protect the tyres from over-spray?

Also, I must have taken forever to sand the fuckers! So many spokes!

Walts. If you don't paint your wheels, I'll spread you eagle witha shishkebab, then BBQ you Brazilian styles. Then feed you to Dylan. He'd like to munch on your burnt chorizo.
