Hey shazza how long does the warranty on tints generally last with suby's? mines pretty crappy looking from the inside, turning into sh*t in some places, and the back is starting to bubble actually. gettin on to almost 12 years now, no idea if the tints were redone by previous owners though. I think if i got tinting done my resale would be improved :)

Hey Mate,

Depends on the company and film. All my films have a lifetime warranty, but it isn't transferable to a new owner.
If a new owner wants to make a warrnaty claim, and there is a problem with the quality of the film, i'm happy to replace it at my own cost, but there is a small labor charge involved.

If they look purple, or are starting to look a bit "hazy" when you look through them, they need to be redone.
Fresh tints will make the car look much better, and will be better for resale.

/end chris's thread hijack.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Hes in gosford so maybe we can make a detour on Saturday or one of you gosford boys can go take a look at them for me ;)

Apparently they are +35 off according to him but they have been test fitted on his wrx and he said he doesnt have any probs with them...

Waitin on confirmation from him to see how flush they are...

I found a set of stock XT shocks with King springs also for $100, just waiting on confirmation on how low the drop is...

Sweet as man. Check to see if there is a tint warranty with the car. Because from what i can see, they look a little purple, and if they are, it should be covered under warranty.

I'll check it out sat for you though.

Cheers,
Shazza

I think its the factory tint and in person they arnt purple more so greenish

have a good inspection of the wheels, i'm always very skeptical about buying wheels off ebay due to not being able to change your mind really.

need to check for buckles and structural damage it is very important, so don't lock yourself into anything straight away!

there's enough time after the cruise if you didn't want to grab them before hand. we're having lunch and leave the hunter mid arvo so you could go on the way home?

He says in the ad the PCD is 5 x 100 - but his STi is 5 x 114.3.
I'd probably check that - they look dual drilled, but who knows to what.

They'd look good a darkish colour, gunmetal etc.

And to lower it, find some WRX or STi (if STi you might have to re-grease them) complete struts (with top hats) and get some lowering springs to suit the MY of the struts/hats, and you might need "saggy butt shims".
Or buy some coilovers.

Going off this pic they look multi stud...

As for colour I have a few cans of white knight hi temp metallic charcoal sitting at home which i was gonna do my CS9s before the accident so that could be an option if the gold doesnt suit.

As for lowering, id be goin straight to coilovers so no messing around and I can have the height whatever I like... Sourced a set of Tein Tye HA that are for GC8 but not sure if they will fit, gotta double check... That will wait for a few months anyways...

If you look closely you'll see 4pots behind the wheels, it's also a wing short to be an STI.

Its just a tuned by STI

yeah i agree they look like 5x114.3 that have been redrilled for 5 x 100. The 5 x 100 holes don’t appear to have the countersunk rim which is pretty unusual for aftermarket rims, especially as the other holes do.
