GOPRO, Y U NO SHOW REAL COLOR!

I installed some T10 and T5 LED SMD globes into my dash today. The color is actually a more whitey blue, but for some reason, the color came out green as on the camera.

Note no hot spots. They coulda been a bit brighter, but for $10 delivered from HK for 20 globes, who cares, right? Took about 30mins to install, following THM999's DIY guide.

Cheers,
Shazza

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

That looks almost unbearable....

Lol. Burn it with fire? My warning lights are more of a purple now, rather then red though, so i might get some red LEDs to replace them.

Does the dimmer work with the LED's Shaz?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Yeah it does mate. Works a treat.

I've just noticed my handbrake light is kinda on all the time. When you pull the handbrake on, it does light up alot more, but its kinda dim i the background. I also just noticed that when you have the handbrake up at idle, it idles fine, but when its down, it changes the idle. Strange.

Cheers,
Shazza

Umm...WUT?

Having trouble linking handbrake to idle quality.

Did it do it pre-LED?
As they are a diode, there might be some weirdarse current feedback going on?

Yeah, i know. Its bizarre, Didn't do it Pre-Led. Might pull the dash out again and suss out to see if its shorting somewhere or something.

They have their uses, but in cars where so much of the electrics are based on an expected current draw you can't always replace everything with LEDs and expect it to work peachy.

OT, I dig your wagon Shaz, even if it is a v8 motor instead of a v7.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Hahaha. I think its the little LEDs (Handbrake warning, ABS warning, Indicators) that are causing the issues, not the Big ones (That illuminate the speedo.) No matter, I kept all the old globes, so I will refit them and see if it fixes it. The idle fluctuation isn't really a huge issue, its about 100rpm difference really. I'm guessing the extra current draw might be causing it?

Thanks mate. V3 though, not V8 :D

Is it?! I thought you went for a v8 STi cut?

Nah mate, found a V3 one at Ichiban, so went for that instead. VF23 goodness. Thinking about building a 2,5L bottom end but.

Yeah should get goin.

To be honest, $10 for 20 LEDs delivered from Hong Kong didn't really give me high expectations in the product in the first place.. The dash lighting is better, just the warning lights came out a bit shit looking IMO.

Shazza

So it is, also a good motor, but an EJ207 upgrade would be good too :D

Yeah man. 207 would be nice, but a 257 would be better.. I would love the extra torque of a 2.5L. Even on 20psi, the 2L isn't hugely exciting.
