Is it worth while changing my stock bov to an aftermarket one in my b4.... Any help would be great.

If your stock BOV is working fine, I would leave it.

If it's more noise you want, add a pod filter, then you can hear the stock BOV. Decent sound, not too loud.

I changed my BOV to a turbosmart item on my Legacy. It was easy DIY mod and was fun for about a week. Its not my daily driver, so it doesnt really irratate me. It would be a good mod for you to have a play around with I reckon. I recommend getting a 50/50 amosphere/plumback, as it will only go off under full boost then.

BTW, prior to installing my aftermarket item, I could hear my factory blow off valve even without a pod filter.

If your stock BOV is working fine, I would leave it.

if it's a manual B4? then yes.

Get the GFB or turbosmart Full atmo.. the hybrid with half plumb-back is a waste of time.

I loved the sound of my exhaust, then intake, finished off with a PTTSHHHH!!!!

I've got the GFB GT Hybrid set to 50/50 and tightened up abit, along with a pod filter it has a nice woop woop woop woop PTTSHHH!

100% plumb back is homo.. might as well keep the standard one, why would you even bother upgrading,

the "extra boost" argument is garbage, the B4 can only make so much boost and the stock BOV will handle it fine, the one on the GT is PLASTIC for fuc* sake!

I've got the GFB Hybrid on mine and it's set to full plumb back and it's still pretty loud (with pod filter).

I've got next week off work (= lots of free time), so I might chuck it to full atmo just for a play.

Pretty easy to install, but like all subaru motors it's god damn fiddly.

EDIT: That link above doesn't actually claim to be the hybrid version.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Got HKS full atmo, that's on an EJ20T. Sounds great, clean sound. Great performance.

Always hear good things about Turbosmart BOV's aswell.
