EGT would actually be the most useful in terms of real-time feedback. Oil pressure, by the time something shows up as out of place on the gauge, it's already too late. Also it doesn't require much in the way of installation for the EGT :)

I would have gone fuel pressure with my old setup, my sard fuel reg was making a whining noise at times (would have been good to see what was going on). Could have been the cause of killing my engine. Probably none of them are worth getting on a standard'ish car. Except for boost.

About $500 delivered for the two gauges from Japan. More expensive than some... still cheaper than the Defi BF series I used to have.

I ended up getting the EGT.

I dont see why exhaust gases temp is important? my personal oppinion as an auto repaire oil pressure is more important, beacuse u can see it visually if the guage is in sight a slight move down to get your attention. but each to there own

Allows you to monitor A/F indirectly. Oil pressure is more of an afterthought (i.e. by the time it has shown something noticeable, it's already too late) whereas EGT allows more of a precursor before something goes wrong.

It also works out cheapest to install - no need to fit or buy sandwich plates. Ultimately, I really only needed a second gauge to fill in a blank...
