Sweet mate thanks heaps. Would a cheap set of 2 ways, say pioneer or jvc brand be suitable for the rears?

They should do the trick nicely. Kind of a waste going for the top shelf gear unless you are going to support them with high end amps and subs too.

I will either be grabbing a set of cheaper components for the front, maybe a set of pioneer or Kenwood. Or, save my dollars and go for something in the likes of focal, kicker or mtx?
I like the idea of saving and spending big but I just want a kinda decent set in there, nothing too expensive.. I was hoping something around the $100 and up to $200 mark for fronts and $50 to $100 for the rears.

I'll have a good look at the jaycar speakers though.

i just got soundstream 2ways in my front doors, more than enough i recon, really good sound and only paid $80 for them. I will be upgradeing them with some kenwoods with tweters so, and putting the sound streams in the rear doors. the way i see it, unless ur going to put the car in sound comps etc mid range is more then enough.
