No, files are bigger and need more colour correction in post editing I think.

Just shoot and learn to shoot first :)

Fair enough. Wasn't sure if worth it or not.

Also, 4 mins of video at 1080p is 2.5gbs?

I was just gonna keep it connected to the car charger.

Do you run branded cards? Eg. Sandisk, Amicroe etc..
Or are cheapo Class10 ones fine?

I have a Sandisk and a Kingston.

As long as the card can run at the class 10 speed constantly. It should be fine.

So just did a trial run of the wifi bacpac and gopro app on my drive to uni.

It's actually pretty good. The settings tab shows plenty of info :)
I read somewhere that you couldn't preview your video when recording on the Hero2, but they must've fixed that.
Only fault is the delay in streaming, but since the GoPro is in a fixed position, it's not that bothersome.

Record at 720p @ 60fps Stocky.

1m clip should be around 800-900mb.

With the Hero 3, since the firmware update the preview in the app is only a 2sec delay compared to the 20sec delay previously...

Difference between the 1080 / 30 and the 720 / 60?

I got told that with the Hero 2, preview when recording wasn't available at all.

When you upload to Youtube, you would generally render at 720 anyway, not 1080, and the 60fps is better for editing IMO. Especially if you are using slow motion software.
